sleep habits - 2.5 month old
My DD will be three months in a week. Now, I am not at all complaining, but I am wondering if her sleep schedule is "normal". she naps whenever during the day. she is pretty much awake all evening. around 1030-11, i give her a pumped bottle of about 5 oz. last night, she slept from 1130 pm-6 am, woke up to feed and then slept from 6:30 to 10:30 am. It is wonderful, and I am getting a lot of sleep in that time, but ideally I'd like her to start going to bed earlier, like around 7 or 8, so that way DH and I can have some chill out time together in the evenings. so, do u think her current sleep pattern is ok? and will an earlier bedtime just come with time? should i just shut up and enjoy what i have?

Re: sleep habits - 2.5 month old
im no help, DD is similar! shes 4 months old but adjusted age is 2.5 months. no matter what i try she doesnt go to bed before 1030 ever, and usually its more like 1130-12 . she usually sleeps til around 7am, then eats. then we nap together til around 9-10am. i wish i could put her down at like 8 but even when she naps that early she doesn't stay sleeping. last night she napped from 1030-11pm!! then she woke up and ate and then went to bed for real at 1145... nothing i have done has changed these habits. im open to ideas!!

Not alone. DD is over 2 months now and goes down for the night at 11ish. Its rough because DH wakes at 5AM for work. She sleeps from 11-5ish, then back down until 10. Catnaps during the day. Just when I think shes picking up a routine its all over.

I think the earlier bed time will come with time. At least DD's is starting to...I was actually sad that she fell asleep at 8pm last night

Re: sleep habits - 2.5 month old
well... my dd is almost 3 months in a week as well... june 29th she was born.
she goes to bed around 8pm.. BUT she's up between 3 and 4am... then she's up again around 6am and then at 7am and then 8am.
I'm LOVING your sleep schedule!!
I keep hoping to lengthen her wake up times... but it's been this way for quite a while now.

Re: sleep habits - 2.5 month old
DD is a little over 2 months.. and same exact thing. She naps during the day.. here and there.. We give her a bath around 11-1130.. she eats, and falls asleep anywhere between 12-1230.. and sleeps until 7-8. I can't complain.. at least we get to sleep at night lol
When do kids start falling asleep earlier?

Re: sleep habits - 2.5 month old
my DD is almost 10 weeks and she's usually asleep between 7-8pm. then she'll sleep till around 11, get a bottle and then sleep till around 4-5am. she'll go back down after for another 1.5 hours.
however, last night was weird because she slept from 7pm to 2am straight.

Re: sleep habits - 2.5 month old
DD is pretty much the same, she is 7 weeks, goes to bed anywhere from 930 to 1030 and will sleep till 6 or 7am then be up for an hour to 2 hours then sleep till anywhere between 11am & noon.
She does cat nap around 7 or 8pm, but I feel like if I let her go without a feeding after 9 she will not sleep till 6 and I rather have that especially since now it's darker in the morning and it's harder to wake up lol

Re: sleep habits - 2.5 month old
From 3-10 weeks DD went to sleep anywhere from 11-12:30 and slept until 6-8am.
For the last two weeks she has been going to sleep earlier at night, around 9 and sleeping until 5-7am. If she wakes up earlier than 6 we bring her into bed with us and she usually sleeps for an extra half hour.
After her first morning feed she is 'up' (in bed with me, sitting up, looking around) for 20-40 minutes. Then she sleeps in bed with me again for about 2-3 hours. So she really gets up for the day around 9-10am. She is SO happy when she wakes up from her second sleep, it's so adorable !
