Sleep schedule for a 4 month old

I'm trying to put my dd on a sleep schedule with no avail and end up going to sleep at 1:00 a.m. anyway with her...My dd wants to party all the time...

She take about 4-5 naps a day lasting from 25 mins to 1 hr...she is currently drinking 5 ounces about every 3 hours...sometimes she doesn't drink the 5 ounces...or sometimes she will fall asleep after 3 ounces...and wake up later looking for the other 2 ounces..Chat Icon

I'm not looking to have my dd sleep the entire night...(when it is her time..she will...) I just want to get some sleep...so when I do wake up during the night...I can be more alert...

I would start a routine around when you want to put her to bed. For example, if you find she is napping around 6:30 or 7 ish, I would make that her bedtime. Start with a routine like a bath, book, bottle then bed. Then anytime she wakes after that, don't take her out of the room. If you feed her, feed her in her room. Eventually she will associate that time with her bedtime and she will give you a longer stretch! Good luck! Chat Icon
