sleeping issues...advice please

DD will be 22 months and she always went to sleep on her own without any problems. We even moved her into a different room and into a toddler bed with no problems about a month and a half ago.
For the last 1.5 to 2 weeks she refuses to go to sleep on her own. She will scream and cry until we go in there. I mean cry until her voice os hoarse. The only way she falls asleep is if we are in there with her.
Any advice on how to get her back to falling to sleep on her own? oh, and I am due with baby #2 in 2 weeks. I am starting to get worried, I want to get this resolved before the baby come.

TIA!!!!!!

Re: sleeping issues...advice please

It could just be a phase. If she's normally a good sleeper, then that doesn't just stop all of a sudden. She'll go back to sleeping well, I'm sure. Does she have her 2 year molars yet? MAybe she's getting those if she doesn't have them already? Has anything in her schedule changed the last couple of weeks? Anything in her diet (I used to have a hard time sleeping due to food allergies as a child). Does she have an ear infection or any congestion that would make it uncomfortable to lay down?
Also, is she having bad dreams? We had a couple of weeks over here of Ava screaming in her sleep and I think it was just bad dreams.Chat Icon
