Sling question
So, the kangaroo position is awesome, he loves it...
But I keep feeling paranoid about walking around. I am so afraid he is going to fall out....
Is there any chance he can, or am I being paranoid? I mean, I'm not doing anything crazy, just walking around the house, and want to use it for the folk festival....

Re: Sling question
Oh I just got my Moby Sling and DH and attempted to get the kangaroo position working...
It was a sight. We definitely didn't have it tight enough and Bella definitely would have fallen out

Re: Sling question
You just have to make sure that the bottom rail is securely under your DC and pulled tight. At first I kept my hands underneath DS all the time. Now, I walk without placing my hands underneath him.

Re: Sling question
I love my sling, but you always have to be aware of how baby is sitting in it, because he could slip out. Just make sure his knees are above his butt. Tighten the bottom rail, the top rail and pull in the middle, too -- make it really tight.
I like the Moby a lot -- it holds them more securely, but is such a pain to put on and not practical for popping them in and out while shopping, etc. I used to use the Moby a lot for walks and around the house, but I have found it to be too hot during the summer.

Re: Sling question
I was going to say the same thing...just make sure it's tight and up over his chest enough. They say to support him with your hands under him until you get comfy.

I just got that one and CANNOT figure out how to make Logan comfortable in it.
He looks so awkward and just cries.

It took a few tries - go on their website - they explain how to do all of the positions... The kangaroo was the only one he really liked - I make him sit like a pretzel ("Indian style" is the un PC term) in front of me - I sit, bring the sling under him, make sure he is situated in the middle (label is on the bottom) and sort of move it in front of me, then stand up - he LOVEEES it!!! Whenever he sees the sling, he gets all excited and smiley. Everyone laughs because all he is is an enormous head poking out of the sling!
