Slomin's security system - need help!

So we just moved into our new house on Monday. Monday night the alarm system went off blaring. we had no code or anything to shut it off, the previous owners told us it was disabled. So i called slomins and we deactivated our account, but apparently it can still go off, its still a live alarm system, they are just not responsible for it if it goes off. When I asked how to make the system power down and NOT be live, they told me im not a customer and they won't tell me. Does anyone know how to shut off power to an alarm system? Can you just shut it off?

Try to look around your house to find out where the power source is. Mine is inside our pantry so I would look inside closets and stuff. Maybe you could disable it there.

Take the panel out from the wall and cut the wires.

That's what I would do.

That's pretty crappy..it's their equipment..I would speak to a supervisor.

That might not work, DH says. We have Slomins The power source is usually a battery backup. There is an actual hardwired panel somewhere in your house. Ours is in an eave try looking in your closets. Also, it is usually locked and Slomin's and the homeowner are the only ones who have the key.

That might actually set the alarm off though.

Talk to someone in charge. I was able to when I was negotiating my oil contract. It took a while but I got a resolution.

My DH works on alarm systems for a living and might be able to help. FM me if you still need help with it.
