Small spinoff- Moms of boys 2 same sex siblings....

a few questions,
esp if they are close in age....

how are they as siblings?
am i going to see fist fights and brawling,wrestling?

Being a mom of a DD, G is def calm but of course has a mouth and is fresh and well never shuts up!

I see my nephews, ages 7, 5, 4 and all they do is beat the crap out of each other, cuts, bruises, right out mean and climb all but of course have their good side and can somewhat be gentle.

Im AFRAID!

At 7mths these two seem to be a little wild already, reaching out for EVEYRTHING and lunging out of bumbo's !

when DS is sitting at his highchair and not eating, he is rocking it back and forth, sometimes jumping in it, so hard, so high, that it actually moves an inch.

I sort of was warned about the testosterone, and I can DS Bam Bam.

He loves wrestling us, he's only 11m. If I'm on the floor he climbs up me and tries to shove me down, then (not really beats) but just slaps on my face. I'm not sure how I should be correcting this, or what, but I'm going to have to soon.

I worry already!! Dom and Michael already try to wrestle...can't imagine whats going to happen when they are older!!

My boys are 2.5 years apart...they are the best of friends but love to pummel each other too! Boys are just wilder, maybe not all of them but at least mine are!

my boys are 16 months apart and every once in a while they will have a fist fight, but for the most part they are eachother's best friend! i would say they get into a fight maybe every couple of months. it's not bad. DH and i try to take them out separately as much as we can to give them some alone time and they actually miss eachother when they are gone!

My boys are 3 1/2 years and 21 mos old.

In the beginning, Benjamin (my older one) had absolutely no interest in his brother. The minute Ethan started crawling, it was on!

They hit, kick, punch and yell at each other. They seem to always want what the other one has and will fight over the smallest things. It really is crazy at times! But not all the time.

They also look for each other first thing in the morning, tell each other "I love you", give hugs, share their food and sometimes toys/books, and play together nicely. When I pick them up from daycare, I usually get Ethan first. When we go to Ben's classroom, if any of the other kids get too close to his brother, he goes into protective mode and will put himself between the other children and his brother and say "don't touch Ethan. He's my brother!". Warms my heart.

I hope they grow up to be close as they are now.

Yep, my boys are 15 months apart and they fist fight, wrestle, punching, scratching, you name it. But they always look out for each other.

I know I am in trouble when Nicholas starts to crawl & walk. Now that he grabs at things, he is always tugging at JJ's hair or shirt.

Now you know JJ, he is non-stop all day. To me, he is the most active 17 month old I have ever seen. He could go all day long without an issue

Lucas 3.5 years
Gregory 10 months

how are they as siblings?
Amazing! Thick as thieves and I am sure at some point they will join forces for some good...mostly bad! They play together and laugh constantly. Lucas is attentive and Gregory is in awe.

And I see the look in Lucas' eyes...if he could get Gregory in a headlock and jump on him he's be happy. Sad thing is...I think he's in for a shocker because I'd put money on Gregory being able to take him.

That's the thing, our second boys are tough cookies. I think the older ones are going to be in for a rude awakening. Already Tyler sits on Jack and pins him down

As of now the boys just adore each other. They are rough, but it's not in a mean way, more of a hugging, wrestling and laughing play. They are loud and can be crazy, but they just really love one another....for now.

I say yes - expect wrestling, beating each other up and constant fighting but also best friends and lots of love hidden in all of that. My boys are 2.5 yrs apart and were fighting over toys by the time the little one was crawling/scooting at 6 mos. It took about 3 years before they really started to play more together since they are really into different things and so far apart as far skill level but now the activities they enjoy together are pretending they are star wars guys and having gun/light saber battles, playing pirate and havingsword fights, playing football/tackle, wrestilng with dad, etc. They know they aren't suppose to lay their hands on each other for real now and for the most part they don't hit or things like that - but I am sure that is to come...from my experience growing up with 2 brothers. They drive each other crazy but I know deep down they love each other. The little ones admires his big brother so much and the older one shows how much he looks out for his little brother even though he'll pretend he doesn't care. They often say they are best friends.

My boys are 20 months apart and yes they fight and wrestle. They are 4 and 3 right now and actually are starting to play together when they arent fighting. I heard from friends that as thye get older, they will def. grow closer and be the best of friends.
