small victory.... The Great Bottle Boycott
Started on Friday last week.
27-no bottle 28-no bottle 29-bottle (we relented) 30-no bottle 31-no bottle 1-no bottle
Is it too soon to call this a success? She still asks for it and refuses her sippy cup until she's dead tired and cranky for sleep.

It is only a success if you no longer give it! Congrats!

I'm all for melting them down! Hubby though has a soft spot for her pleas and I have a soft spot for his begging so its a vicious little cycle of guilt and whining and I have to be the bad guy.
Thankfully, on the 26th at her doctors appt they told me she HAS to get rid of it. Sure that wasn't news but it helped sell it to my hubby. I had been saying it for months but if I said "The doctor said.." it is different.
That and I said "tooth decay and deformity" and well now THATs a winner for him. He has had his troubles with dental and doesnt want her to suffer the same. He has a 'spare tooth' and I think he may have suffered some teasing in his past because he's really big on her not having any teeth issues.
I just think its EASIER not to have the bottle! I hope that in a week's time the Bottle Boycott will be history.
My other minor success is she slept the whole night in her own bed and didn't even fall off of it last night!
