Smelly dog...

Huxley stinks. He just smells like straight up dog... but because his breeder is showing him and his "coat is in" (whatever that means) we can't get it wet. This makes rainy days like today extra awesome at my house and means that I can't bathe him to get rid of his dog stench. Is there anything out there (short of Febreezing him Chat Icon) that helps get rid of dog smell on the dog? I'm afraid my whole house is going to start smelling like this!

Smelly dog...

I bought a dry shampoo for my dog for in between baths. It's a spray and smells really good. Can you try something like that?

you can also try just brushing him out. I find if I just brush them a bit the smell better.

I can't even brush him!! There is something about the way she grooms him (hand stripping) that gives him this wave in the black part of his coat that she told me not to mess with. Chat Icon

This is the biggest p.i.t.a.!!!

It's called pethead dry clean waterless spray shampoo. I actually found it at Burlington for half price.

The dry shampoos also need to be rubbed out with a towel so that might not work for you either. That is a pain, I hope the show goes well and it's worth it :O)
