SNOW

Am I the only one that didn't feel comfortable driving in this mess and took a snow day?

I never do stuff like this, so it's weird for me. I am usually a bit of an overacheiver and workaholic...

I have to go to work, no tolerance just for weather for us!!! It would have to be absolutley treacherous fo rme to consider calling in. For ME......this is fine to drive in. Take it slow, leave early......plus I live & work both on the south shore......no hills or anything for me.

I don;t really have the option of calling in last minute.....not easy to cover what I am doing that day then.

school is on winter break so I'm home...too bad I won't get a snow day out of this, but I'm glad I don't have to go anywhere! I will have to miss lunch with a friend though!

I'm home. I wasted a valuable sick day I could have used for a doctors appointment. Now I'm stuck with nothing to do.

I would've stayed home but I only live 5 minutes away from work so I didn't think it would fly. I really hope we close early though!

I'm at work - an hour early because I was worried about the icy roads. It really wasn't too bad... although I would have gladly stayed home but I didn't want to waste a sick day Oh well... I hope the drive home tonigt will be OK. Stay safe ladies!!!

Today is the last day in our office...we're moving to a new one on monday so I had no choice to come in to pack up. There is no way I would have come in otherwise though.

i came in, i have about a 15 minute drive to train station, and then the rest is easy.

I'm hoping to get out early...
I really didn't want to waste a day, and stay home all day trappedin the house.

Ugh, i just hate the snow!!!!

I totally stayed home. I was up and showered and ready to go in, when Victor called and told me not to.
I'm pretty sure that at 9 month spregnant, my boss understands.

You're not alone!!! I said I'd work from home today so that I didn't have to drive. It would have taken me hours to get to work, and then get home. It isn't worth the aggravation!

I am hoping to be able to at least sneak out a little early...4ish is my goal. It still seems to be coming down and the last thing I want is to drive in rush hour in this weather.

Nope, your not the only one. I wasn't driving under these conditions. I made an attempt and just got past the stop sign on my block, my car fish tailed and that was it for me. I made a u turn right back into my driveway.

It's not worth taking the chance.

So my boss is mad at me. He told me to take car service into the city, they wanted to charge me $80 plus toll which he wouldn't pay for yet told me to make an effort to get in

I didn't feel comfortable driving either and took a "sick day" today.

Not worth the risk in my opinion.

i'm already on maternity leave... a little early due to preterm labor and other things, so i'm home regardless.. be careful those of you who made it in

i did not go to work today... not only do i feel like he!!... its a great day to take off!!

DH went in though.. he's a trooper!
