so after a bad month
Where DH was so stressed we didn't even BD at the right time, I told him that in no unceratin terms we were aiming for next month. For work reasons (I'm off in the summer) this would be the ideal time. So I told him no excuses, I don't care if he's tired or stressed- we are doing our damnest to make a baby next month!!!

Re: so after a bad month
please know that i'm saying this from EXPERIENCE....
be very careful about the amount of 'pressure' you put on DH about timing the BD right. I've learned the hard way that if he's 100% aware of when it COUNTS - he may not be able to perform because of the extreme pressure.
I try to keep it from DH (if i can, based on moisture during BD) now, because we had that problem 2 months in a row...

ITA!
Forced BD causes SO much stress for us and many times DH is unable to finish.
Try to keep it light and as spontaneous as possible - and if DH can't perform, just let it go, otherwise you'll both end up mad and resentful! I know from experience!!!

I tried to not even mention it this month, as DH does get turned off when I make it an issue. But after being turned down 3 times in a week, I just can't let it go down like that again.

Re: so after a bad month
one thing a friend of mine tried was putting a calendar up in the bathroom. On the most important days - she put a heart.
this way - her husband and she both knew what nights they'd be 'trying for a baby'.
she said it also helped to wake up and see HIM putting a heart on a day or two...that weren't needed...etc.
she said it kept the pressure off because you knew ahead of time...
i don't think this would work for us because of the pressure behind it - but maybe it would work for you!

Re: so after a bad month
Before we found had we had to move onto IUI, I never came out and said, we have to BD on these days, but I guess he kind of knew, he's not totally oblivious..but I tried to really make it a little extra spicy those days...KWIM? Break out the lingerie, maybe a movie, send text messages that would make you blush....so it took the pressure off.
