See thats the thing, I'm different each month sometimes....its usually a 28 or 32 day cycle, so I dont even know how far along I can be.....
So is the confusion that the line was so light? I never knew doctors offices did urine tests, I thought only betas. Based on your cycle I would think you would be 5 or 6 weeks already. And no bleeding at all right?
They only did urine tests since I've been going to them. What a Beta?
I had very light (brown) blood like the starting of my period 2 weeks ago and I thought I was getting my period, but then nothing came. 
YOU ARE PREGNANT - sounds like that was implantation spotting. 
Not in medical terms but its a number and as long as it is doubling every 48 hours it is a good indication it is a healthy pregnancy. If it doesn't it could show a sign that it is not a healthy viable pregnancy test. Were you at the OB?

Yes, I was at the OB today and thats when they took the pregnancy test and the line came up very light, I had to hold it close to see it, but it was there, even the Dr said it.
So do they use a Beta with a pregnancy test? I dont get it--lol

This was my first sign, then a couple of weeks later, the MS got me and I thought I was just partying to hard.. (it was memorial day weekend 2005 when I found out)..

The Beta test is a blood test. I would call your OB tomorrow and ask them if you can come in for a blood test. Or even better, take a digital test tomorrow morning and see what happens. It sounds to me like your pregnant.

I would say definately pg. That light brown blood would be implantation bleeding. Congrats!!!!!!!
First Response pg tests showed me a positive when I was only 7 days pg..(according to the blood test -2 weeks).
So if that was about 2 weeks ago, add 2 weeks to that- so maybe you are about 4 weeks!!!!
ps...the same thing just happened to my bf..

Haha. Like I said I've never heard of a urine test at the OB, so this is in lieu of it.
Usually they draw blood and call you in a day or two then say "Your beta is X number you are pregnant." Sometimes they'll have you back in 2 days to have it drawn again to make sure the numbers are doubling. But if the number is high enough based on where you are in the pregnancy there is no need to. Some people never have it done at all (sounds like you didn't with Julia).
I would call in the morning and schedule one. However, if I were you - I would be heading to the store right now to find out.

This is what happened to me BOTH times I got pregnant. Thought I had a really light, almost nothing period, only to find out later it was spotting and I was pregnant!
Sounds like you are!

when a doc does an internal some of the lining of your uterus changes color when you are pregnant. With my last pregnancy I had thought I was oregnant, wasn't even late yet was due for my period in about 3-5 days and when I told my doc that we had tried during this month he said "ok". At the end of the visit he said "I thinl you should make an appt as a maternity patient when you ckeck out, I'll see you in a few weeks ". I didn;t know what to say, my jaw just dropped. Well, I was indeed pregnant and saw him 2 weeks later at a local store and asked him how he knew and he said he could tell by visual changes in my vagina that I was preggo. So..Congrats Melissa, looks like your little girl is going to be a BIG sister

I've never heard of a Beta before!
They never did one with Julia, just a preggo test in there office, followed by the basic blood work. I guess I'm just freaking out by the way the dr and nurse were acting today.

I would say a line is a line.
With #2 I had a faint line on my pg tests even after doc confirmed it with a blood test. It didn't really get dark until i was 8 weeks pg.
It does baffle me how your doc reacted

It's these kind of things that make you reevaluate the time line. 2 days of thinking she was pregnant, made my friend try an entire 2 years earlier than she had planned.
