So confused..Why are my levels still rising a little bit?
Today was my second doctor visit. I had a sono and bloodwork. During the sono they saw the same teeny tiny possible sac that they saw 2 days ago..it did not grow and they are not even sure if it is a sac. They looked everywhere else and I guess they tried to look by and around my tubes. Nothing was found. My levels went up from around 600 to 700. The nurse left a message that I have to go back in two days and the doctor doesn't suspect an eptopic but I am naturally worried. Why would my levels still rise? What is making it rise? Where is my sac? Will a start to MC on my own? I have not bled and have no cramps so I am just so confused. I am 6 weeks 3 days.

that happened to my beta with my ectopic but they never saw a sac in my uterus... it could just be that its not a viable pregnancy... the fact that they saw a sac in your uterus is promising that its not an ectopic

So sorry about ur eptopic. How was everything resolved? How high were your betas? How did they finally realize it was an eptopic? I'm nervous about this and just don't understand this whole waiting game and going back for a sono and blood every two days. I wish there was more they could do to figure this out faster.

Thanks... my beta started at 770 something and 2 days later it went up to 9something... then it went to 1200... but i was experiencing sever pelvic and abdominal pain, i was puking... at 900 they did a pelvic and vaginal sono and never told me if they saw anything...when it went up to 1200 they sent me to the ER to get a shot of methotrexate... and my betas started dropping after that...
that was the worst week and a half of my life... not knowing what was going on...

Angn that sounds so scary. My heart goes out to you and this experience I have no pain so I guess that is a good sign. How long did you have to wait ttc after the shot? Were they able to save your tube? Sorry to chew it ear off I'm just trying to learn as much as possible....

it was scary, i was told to wait 3 months after the shot before we could start trying again... it didnt seem like so long because i was spotting/bleeding on and off for over a month... so it really only worked out to be 2 cycles i think...
yes the shot was able to save me from having any surgery...
no problem... happy to help! i know how scary it is to hear the word ectopic... when my dr said it he had me go straight to the hosptial for sonos and blood and possibly surgery... but they werent able to see anything in the tube so i really dont know where it was, in the tube or abdomen...
it could have been a lot worse...

Oh no, I am so sorry - I am just reading this now.
The one thing I found with having a miscarriage, your body does some crazy things and no two miscarriages are the same.
I am so sorry - please FM me if you need anything.
ETA: It was an emotional rollercoaster for about two weeks.
I started bleeding, they saw a good sac, my numbers were good, barely going down, still saw a sac, still bleeding, sac was gone, numbers were still not going down. I passed the sac a month and a week after the first day I started bleeding. It was the longest and most horrible time ever.

Thanks Diana I know it is like one big waiting game and I just want to move on. I go back on Thursday so hopefully I will have a plan. NO bleeding or cramping. If I didn't have an early sono I would have had no idea been happy go lucky thinking I was going into my eighth week. I will keep you posted and thanks for the support at this time..I rreally appreciate it

Re: So confused..Why are my levels still rising a little bit?
When I miscarried my numbers increased a lot. My dr was stumped and wasn't sure why my numbers were increasing so much. Her only explanation/guess was that sometimes a piece of tissue holds on and tricks the body into thinking it's a viable pregnancy. I waited a month and and a half and never miscarried on my own and had to have a D&C. That's not the norm through.

I can't imagine waiting that long. That would have probably given me false hope and made things harder. Why didn't you schedule the d&c sooner?

My dr wanted to wait even longer! I had a really bad gallbladder attack after my 1st D&C and ended up in the hospital. My dr didn't want to risk that happening again, she was hoping I'd miscarry on my own but it never happened.
