So frustrated cant explain to doc how i feel

Im off to see high risk today at around 11. I hope that they understand how im feeling i describe it as the irritable bowel that is nauseating with cramping and lower back pain. MY ob said oh its normal, I just feel like the NP always tells me that every time i call. Maybe it is and im just a nervous nelly. But my mothers instinct is telling me something isnt right.

i dont know how far along u r but im really new and all i keep doing is having lower tummy, lower back, right abondom cramps, tons of indigestion and cramps that make me go to the bathroom #2 all the time. so maybe it is normal, best of luck hope everything goes well, if you arent happy with ur doctor try someone else in the practice.

i switched gynos bc i wasnt happy with mine she kept telling me everything was okay and didnt really care about me or my questions

I'm sorry, I dont have much advice, but I hope everything turns out OK at the dr! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I think sometimes with these drs and nurses, they see this all day, every day for years. This is common for them - and I think they sometimes forget that for US, it's not at all common and it's nerve racking. We've been analyzing and overanalyzing our bodies and every twinge, pinch, cramp, pain & even lack there of, since we first POAS (and even before then when TTC). It's hard to know what to expect - especially in a situation where you were put on bed rest and are on a hightened alert now too.
I'm sure that if it was something they were worried was wrong, then they would have rushed you in. I know it's hard not to be nervous, but if you trust your docs, then know they will take good care of you.
Maybe take the time before your appointment with the high risk OB this morning to write down specifically what you are feeling so when you are in the room with him you can explain to it to him and be comfortable that you were as thorough with your description as possible. I know sometimes I forget to mention things to my doc and i want to kick myself as soon as I leave. I found writing everything down helps with that.

I have lots of cramping just like you described. It can be due to all the stretching and weight of the baby, but it could be from other things too, so its a good thing you are seeing the doctor. I hope your appointment is uneventful!
