So give me your best tips for drying up my milk farm of a chest!

I BFed Ava, so this is new to me. Even when I stopped BFing, it just kind of went away without me doing anything, but holy mother of milk, my boobs are like giant cantaloupes right now and hurt like hell! I've been doing ice packs 20 minutes on, 20 off, etc. and I just sent my husband to buy me a head of cabbage, since I hear that helpsChat Icon And I'm on prescription strength motrin already. Is there anything I'm missing? It's a shame I'm not BFing with all this damn milk! So, any pointers?

Sudefed or any allergy med that has an antihistamine or decongestant.

Just pump a little bit to avoid engorgement and plugged ducts.

Wear a TIGHT sports bra.

Cabbage in the bra.

in addition to what ure already doing/going to do...

i read that sudafed works. I only used sudafed and the next day I was fine but it still took a few days after to completely stop. also avoid hot water/expressing etc.

although i dunno if u can or cant mix sudafed w/motrin...so just check that out.

Tight bra or even wrapped in ace bandage. Avoid hot showers since that encourages the milk. Otherwise its just a few days of soreness and then it goes away. It helps to express a little with your hands but not too much to encourage the supply. It helps relieve the pressure and hardness.

Thanks, girls! I'll check into the motrin and the sudafed because if I can use that, I certainly will.

I agree on all points. The pumping a little really helped me.

WORKED!Chat Icon Just keep them fresh since they don't work when they are wilty.

Avoid hot water in the shower. I wouln't pump since that might lead to more production.
