So I got a beautiful thank you card from someones wedding
and I dont even know them!!!  Theres a beautiful picture of a man and woman kissing in front of a taxi in Brooklyn. They got my name and address right. They thanked us for our gift and hoped we enjoyed the wedding etc. LOL I have NO idea who they are!
Theres no return address BTW.
Update : Mysters solved! 
I sent the picture to my MIL with the same last name and she said it was from a wedding MY HUSBAND attended last September. There were no last names and in the picture you cant see the faces. DH was working and didnt attend the ceremony so may not have seen the taxi and the wedding was a family friends daughter, so i can see why he wouldnt remember. But still.

Maybe they just looked up the address and someone has the same name as you somewhere.

That's hilarious! I'd totally put the pic on my fridge and when people ask who they are, I'd make up a whole story about these "friends"

I bet this is what happened. My DH has the same name as the manager of a very famous person, you wouldn't believe how often we get phone calls looking for the celeb.

I'd google/facebook your names and see if someone else comes up.
You can also post it on LIW and see if anyone knows of a couple with that thank you.

It is pretty funny, but I can see how it could happen. I got one of my thank you cards back because the person had moved, so I had to look up her address. I guess it's possible I sent it to the wrong person :) Luckily her name is pretty uncommon, so I think it's unlikely.

the rule is you have a year to send them out...
