So I got a bit of bad news yesterday about the twins...would appreciate a prayer or 2
I went for what they call a "routine fetal echo". I am a higher risk pregnancy because I am having mono-di twins. Basically identical twins who are in separate amniotic sacs but sharing 1 placenta.
Anyway, it has been smooth sailing until yesterday. We were informed both Twin A and Twin B have VSD (Ventricular Septal Defect) and Twin A also has Pulmonary Valve Stenosis. I will spare everyone all of the medical explanations but would love if everyone could spare just a couple of good thoughts and prayers for our two miracle little girls.
I know a lot of you remember when I first came back to the pregnancy board this past August. At just 6 weeks they told me because there was no heartbeat I was not having a viable pregnancy. Just moments before my schedule DC they decided to check once more which is when they found not 1 but 2 very strong healthy heartbeats. I believe your prayers worked for us then, and believe they can help us now.
We are going to Schneider's Children's Hospital on Wednesday for a 3rd Fetal Echo. And at this time we will also be meeting with their pediatric cardiologist who will explain things further as well as set up a plan for after their birth.
On the flip side, here are some images of my darling little angels.
