Re: So I guess I am getting the trigger in the office
All my IUI's they gave me the trigger in the office. They just had me fill the prescription for the trigger and bring it with me at each monitoring appointment just in case that was the day.

Oh really...Should I have asked this.
I got this info from a PA who kind of didn't seem sure of what she was talking about and she was returning my call so she had time to look at my file

My office was the same for all of my Clomid/IUI cycles. However, this month I am doing injectables and I will be giving myself the trigger at home.

Re: So I guess I am getting the trigger in the office
i filled my rx for my trigger and dropped it off at my re office. They had it refridgerated for me and had it ready for me when they saw i needed it. It was convientant bc i didnt have to worry if i forgot it at home.

Re: So I guess I am getting the trigger in the office
that's what i had...i carried it around with me for a while in a little cosmetic bag so that I was ready for when the call came in. mine didn't have to be refridgerated (pregnyl).

I didn't realize some offices trigger you. I always trigger myself.

A trigger is what they give you to actually "force" ovulation. Usually Ovidrel or HCG. They time your ovulation so that they can inseminate you or retrieve your eggs (in the case of IVF) as you ovulate.

Yes, ask them to fax it to Freedom Fertility Pharmacy if it's Ovidrel. It will be alot cheaper than the other pharmacies, if it is not covered by your insurance. Freedom Fertility charges $45, including overnight Fedex delivery to you.

A trigger shot - Ovidrel or Pregnyl, there may be others, makes you ovulate within 24-36 hours of the shot.
