So, I guess I shouldn't expect much for Mother's Day, huh?
A conversation between my dad and DH-
Dad-"So, Chris, what are you guys doing for Mother's Day?"
DH ((puzzled look))-"I thought Kate and Christopher were going into the city to see you guys?"
Dad-"Yeah, on Saturday"
DH-((puzzled look) "For Mother's Day? On Saturday, right?"
Dad-"Chris, Mother's Day is on SUNDAY"
DH-"IT IS?"

I guess he hasn't had much practice with Mother's Day!
The one silver lining is that Mother's Day comes first and always sets the stage for Father's Day....
Good Mother's Day = a pleasant Father's Day
Crappy Mother's Day = Yard work and watching the kids while I get a mani & pedi.

ive been hinting (converstions to DS in front of DH) and its circled on the calendar.. STILL he was so shocked to find out its THIS SUNDAY..

And the BEST (aka the WORST) part was my MOM stuck up for him!! Said that since I said I was celebrating Mother's Day on Saturday with them that she understood why he messed it up.
Um. NO!
