so i just saw that my crib is on a recall list
and i am pretty mad. crib is 3 years old- i am now using it for dc #2. it's a sorelle crib, good brand. in 3 years, i don't think i have EVER even used the dropside- now i am kicking myself for getting it in the first place . actually, i have a crib tent on it now, so i CAN"T use the drop side. according to the company press release, they may not have repair kit for this model, and they will send a $100 voucher. grrr. here's the thing- like i said, i never even used the drop side. i was planning on using this crib for #3 also. what do i do now? would you worry? can i put some screws in to tighten it myself?

We have a crib that has a recall. Its the Jenny Lind crib. We were planning on using it for our baby due next month but we decided we didnt want to risk it and are going to buy another one....nothing fancy though. And I never used the drop down either.

i would take the money they are sending and get rid of the crib. i know you never used it but if it does on its own when your not there than it could be dangerous.

I would NOT try to repai it yourself. One of the recalls was due to a baby suffocating because the parents tied to fix the crib themselves. My cibs wee $140 each fom JC Penney. You can find a safe AND inexpensive cib...my crib does have a dop side but has not been recalled. You can also check CL
