Congratulations! Wishing you sticky baby dust! I myself had a m/c in 2005 so I know how scary it can be, but it is DEFINITELY possible to have a successful pregnancy after that! Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months!

to answer your question, they wait until you're far along enough to do a sonogram and get all the information they need.
