So I very nervous about my Level II on Friday...Long sorry
Some of you who were pregnant when I had DD might remember what a scare I had when I was pregnant with her. Up until my Level II I was having a healthy good pregnancy (aside from the normal heartburn and MS). Well at my level two they told me that they needed me to come back for another test b.c they didn't get a good measurement of some of the organs. So back we went right before Valentines day and I even brought my grandmother (my parents were out of town and my grandmother wanted to see the baby). Well they told me that the baby had an abnormally small stomach which could mean some pretty horrific disorders, or could mean surgery immediately at birth before the baby could eat - or it could mean nothing. So after an emergency amnio, tests on valentines day and then multiple sonos for the rest of my pregnancy telling me they couldn't tell me if she would or would not need surgery ( for either a TE fistula or trachesophgeal atreasia) until they tested her immediately at birth. I spent the rest of my pregnancy basically in fear that my baby might have something horribly wrong. In the end it turned out that she was okay and that maybe she just has a small stomach (she has always been a very small eater) and has some reflux but thankfully did not need the surgery after all.
Now my level II is coming up and I have to say while I'm excited at the prospect of finding out the sex I'm terrified that this might happen all over again. It was so hard going thru that with constant sonos (I had excess fluid which only strengthened their belief there was something wrong) and all the extra doctors and visits I can't imagine doing that again never mind with a very active toddler at home.
I guess I'm just looking for a little reassurance that everything will be okay this time around. If you are still reading thank you for your support.

Im sure everything will be fine... what are the odds of this happening to you twice-right?
In the end your daughter was fine, so try and focus on that... Whatever news the give you (which is going to be good news) in reality still doesnt necessarily = something bad...
Pregnancy is so scary at times, but to TBH motherhood gives just as much worry/fear if not more...
Ill keep you in my prayers Friday... I cant wait to hear the sex...
What are you thinking?

Re: So I very nervous about my Level II on Friday...Long sorry
Well unfortunately the OB that it is a possibility that it could happen again so that is why I'm nervous.
Honestly I"m not sure - everyone was convinced DD was a boy except for DH who said girl - I went back and forth depending on the day but thought it was boy. Even with the amnio people argued I was having a boy...LOL.
This time is SO different from DD so I don't know I'm leaning towards boy - which is what DH thinks it is this time - but not sold - I would love 2 girls but a boy would be a blessing too - so I guess maybe b.c I don't really have a preference I haven't leaned one way or the other. I'm carrying the same as with DD but I have only had very mild MS at night for 3-4 weeks then nothing - and really no heartburn unless I don't eat for a long time. Basically I'm really feeling great which makes me say maybe it is a boy this time????? Have I confused you yet....

Not at all... because my response to that same question is the exact same thing...a bunch of ramblings going back and forth, back and forth...
I think you hit it right on the nose... since there really is no preference, we tend not to lean one way or the other...

I'm sure everything is going to be just fine and it will turn out to be nothing but a pleasant visit. Try and relax and focus on the fact that you're about to find out if you're going to have a son or another daughter! How exciting!!

Re: So I very nervous about my Level II on Friday...Long sorry
I understand what you're going through. From my level II on they found nothing but "problems" with my DD. An echogenic focus, a low placenta, "short" legs, dilated kidneys. They scared me with one thing after another & she was born 100% healthy. This time, I was scared of what they were going to tell me, but I was told that all is well.
I'm sure everything will be fine!
