So, I visited my friend in N.Carolina this weekend...

If Rich doesn't get another permanent position this september, we're moving down there as soon as he finishes his masters... (May 08)...
My Dad's cousin is in real estate down there - they went to visit her between Christmas and New Years, and they're sooooo ready to go! They have to determine where my little bro is going to go to college, though. That's going to make all the difference in the world!

Really???? Charlotte is sooo nice! Move down there Shorty, so I can convince Gaetano to go! LOL.
I seriously cannot wait to get out of NY-The houses are ridiculous there-sooo nice. And sooo cheap. After seeing the houses, I will NEVER buy a house here....I wish my parents would move there!!!

My friend built a house in Indian something or other...Indian River? Indian Cove? Can't remember...but she says its amazing. Good luck to you guys who decide to move down there and let us know how it goes!

it is sooo nice down there!! my parents bought a beach house down in the outer banks ( cape hatteras) about 3 years ago. its one house back from the beach, ocean view,4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 decks, hot tub, HUGE kitche/living room... i think they paid $450 K for it!!! its unbeleive how much cheaper things are down there!!!

We just came back from the Raleigh, Wake Forest area on New Years. We are going to start to build in Wake Forest in the spring. I'm nervous, DH is so ready. No family or friends there  I hope some of you will be my neighbors!!

I have only heard back from one company in 3-4 months. Don't move without a job...it takes forever!

That's at least a 3 month wait!
I am still waiting on 8 or 9 other companies, I am thinking by next Christmas I should hear from half.

DH and I visited the Raleigh and Cary area in Sept. we liked it a lot. I wouldn't mind moving there... it's definitely a LOT different than NY, but it's a beautiful place.
