So I went from nurse to patient last night
I started working last night in L&D at 7pm and all was well. So about 2-3am I started getting a little crampy really low in my abdomen. I thought it was my bladder so being the good nurse I am I sent off my own urine to see if I had a UTI. When it came back neg. I decided to humor myself, thinking it was nothing, and I put myself on the monitor and what to my wondering eyes did I see, contractions!!!!!!  I was contracting like every 2 minutes at first it took 2 different medications to stop my contractions not to mention a ton of IV fluids. Thankfully I was not dilated at all and the FFN (fetal fibronectin test) which tests to see if you will go into labor came back negative. Apparently my fibroid which was pretty large pre-pregnancy has now doubled in size and appears to be irritating my uterus and as I grow might only cause more problems! They just finally sent me home with terbutaline and I just have to take it easy. I have to go to the high risk doc tomorrow morning now and then see my regular doc tomorrow. I'll be 24 wks on thursday I just wasn't prepared to deal with this so early so I can use some hugs and prayers that everything will be ok guys!

I saw Dr. Klein because he was on call but if I have to continue to follow one I'll probably see Dr. McKenzie who's in the same group.

I saw Dr. Klein because he was on call but if I have to continue to follow one I'll probably see Dr. McKenzie who's in the same group.
I was seeing them all in that group, I wasn't a big fan of Dr. Klein, but I really like Dr. McKenzie and the others. Good luck, keep us posted!
