SO if the "terrible twos" start early....does that mean they end fast????
My DD is 23 months and she has become sooooooo FRESH I dont even know what to do with myself. We do time out but after about 3 weeks it does not seem to be doing anything. Not even a slight change.
Please tell me this phase is somewhat normal and I am not the only one???? I feel like I wanna just cry sometimes.
She doesnt hit, bite or anything like that but her attitude is HORRIBLE and embarrassing in public....
Any advice??

No... sorry!
Thomas started around 15 months. I comes in waves... it seems... I'm just riding them out... but he is certainly still in them and he will be 3 in April.
Hang in there!

Trust me.... you don't want the terrible twos to end early.... that just means that the "even worse" 3s starts that much sooner!

Re: SO if the "terrible twos" start early....does that mean they end fast????
I read an article that explained behavior comes in 6 month cycles, and the especially bad behavior is when the child is learning the most.
Makes living with the tantrums much easier to handle!
I have found that if I look back and think about it, 6 months is about right - 6 months of the angel, 6 months of the devil, 6 months of the angel (currently) . . . will wait to see when this cycle ends and the next one begins.

DD hit her terrible 2s at 18 months. 23 months now and I don't even want to consider how much longer we'll be dealing with this...
