does measuring ahead mean you will go early?
Just curious if this is something i should be thinking and plan accordingly. Im measuring 2 weeks ahead and this is confirmed by 2 different sonos at 2 different times. Just curious i doubt it does since we know that this all an estimation.

Not at all. The size of the baby (measuring ahead) and how you are progressing do not go hand and hand.

Agreed DS was measuring up to 2 weeks ahead and was born via scheduled c/s on his due date.

Re: does measuring ahead mean you will go early?
I was measuring ahead my entire pregnancy...this was due to excessive amniotic fluid from my GD. There was no way my due date could have been off...because I got pregnant 2 weeks after my miscarriage so my dates were exact. I did go one week early though!

Possibly. I was measuring big/ahead by about2 weeks and went 3 days early, not much.

Re: does measuring ahead mean you will go early?
Not necessarily. I also have pre-term labor symptoms AND the baby is measuring almost 3 weeks ahead, so I am being watched.
A good friend had her DS almost 2 weeks late & he measured ahead her whole PG.

Re: does measuring ahead mean you will go early?
Nope. Baby comes out when its good and ready, no matter how big it is. Now if your doc decides to take it out early, then that's a whole different story.
