So its time I took away Talia's bottles - question!!
Talia and I had a big girl party yesterday which included her throwing away aaaaaall her bottles (lord help me!).
The thing is she doesn't drink milk from a sippy cup yet. I will offer it to her all the time but she just won't take to it.
If you had the same problem and got rid of the bottles - can you tell me how long it took for your DC to drink milk from a cup?
Thanks!

Re: So its time I took away Talia's bottles - question!!
is is terrible but to get Jillian to drink milk from a sippy we used to put a little choc or strawberry syrup( I am talking a pin drop mixed it up and called it a special drink. never let on it was milk and it worked now she will drink milk from a cup or anything else we put in it..
Good luck..
Also you can also get some really cool princess cup from the disney store or a dora cup from walmart..with the straw and let her drink it from that

I would just give it to her not tell her what it is. She will soon get the hint that all her drinks are coming in the sippy cup. My daughters were slow going on drinking milk from the sippy. But, they will finish it. (just not in the 5 seconds it took them to suck down a bottle)

Re: So its time I took away Talia's bottles - question!!
It took about two days for him to start drinking milk from a cup. He still doesn't drink milk from a sippy, only a regular cup, so maybe try that with Talia also.
What I did was serve him cold milk in a cup with every meal, regardless of whether he drank it or not - and nothing else. By the 2nd day he picked up the cup and drank the milk.
However, he still does not drink nearly as much milk as he used to on the bottle. I knew that would happen though and that's part of the reason why I waited so long to get rid of the bottle.
Congrats on graduating from the bottle! I thought it was going to be much harder when we did it a few months ago but it was pretty easy. I'm sure Talia will do fine!

I still haven't done this yet. I've tried but she will take 1 sip of the milk from a cup and put it down and not go back to it.

We had maybe 4-5 days where she boycotted milk from the sippy and then eventually she started to drink it. She was getting calcium from other sources so I was not very concerned about her not drinking the milk.

Miranda never drank milk from a bottle or a sippy cup. She hasn't had milk in almost a year. I'll bet if she actually likes the milk in time she'll take it from a cup, just keep offering it to her.
