SO now that you gave me the info, where did you go to school?
I already have 35K in loans, so a tippity top college is really not for me. I went to Adelphi, and I think they do better with your credits there if you are an alumni.
Where did you go?

I got my Masters at CW Post. My sister got hers at Adelphi. I think our programs were comparable in terms of cost and quality. On the cheaper side, you can go to Stony Brook.

I did my undergrad at Iona in New Rochelle (westchester) so they give a nice break to alumni.

I dont think Stonybrook has a Masters in Education at all. (or everyone would go there to save 20 grand! )
I even called there to just get my special ed certifi (just a few extra classes) and they said they dont have a program to accomodate that.
I think they have programs for TEachers to further their credits. Im not totally positive about this, but I know if they did have a masters, I would have gone there no question.
and Im mad at myself for not pursuing Queens college, would have also saved me 20 grand. I went into queens anyway for babysitting
To answer the question, I went to Dowling.

see, I WISH I could have gone to Stonybrook. maybe since Ididnt have an undergrad in EDucation, I couldnt go there. Why do I keep hearing that they dont have masters programs in Education? and this is even 2 days ago, I spoke to someone in their Ed dept.
HE said only specialized areas.

Yup same here. Went for both Bachelor's and Master's. Cheap and well respected for their education programs.

Did you look at the website? I work at SB, they have:
Master of Arts in Teaching
English Foreign Languages Mathematics Science Social Studies
Basically all the secondary subjects. No el. ed. SUNY Old Westbury offers el. ed.
