We had 3, I thought it was going to be more. It is Regent's week for us and this just threw everything off today!
However, my principal mentioned that she is really going to take into consideration where people live before she hires them. We have one teacher from NJ and another from the North Fork of LI. I don't blame that they don't want to drive, but I can understand her point!

We had about 4. We didn't have a delay. I think 2 were actually sick and 1 lives far with kids who did have a delay.

I live 14 miles from where I work (all highway - so it takes about 20 minutes) and I called out today b/c my car wouldn't start in the cold. Most of our other teachers made it in, and many commute from farther than I do. In crappy weather, stuff happens - regardless of where you live.

Very true, but we are in NYC and can use public transportation for the most part. We have 6 teachers who live out of the city (1 PA, 1 CT, 3 LI, 2 NJ) It can get rough at times when the weather is bad and then we can't get enough subs in and that can really be troublesome!
