So tell me your timeline(food)
Okay so the pastina thread got me thinking.
When did you start table foods, what did you start? DS is only on fruit right now, we tried veggies but he was SOOOO incredibly gassy and uncomfortable so the ped told me stop for now and try again in a week or 2. I cant even imagine feeding Pastina mixed with butter and cheese to my 6 month old, not because its crazy, but DS is not ready for that. I was just wondering what everyone else did/does.

Re: So tell me your timeline(food)
I started on the early side.
3-4mths- cereal 5mths-applesauce, pears, bananas, water in sippy cup (DS doesn't like juice) 6mths- veggies, yogurt, meats 7mths- combos, tomato sauce, puffs, pastina 8mths- melons, or any fruit I could fit in the mesh fruit holder(not sure what its called) 9mths- tuna, salmon, eggs, ice cream
I've been making my own food so I would try something new as I made it.

I was thinking the same thing - and I've been through it already with DS! My guess is that by 7 months he'll be ready, they grow so fast once they pass 6 months!
We just started DD on yogurt yesterday. She's getting 3 meals a day right now. Fruit for breakfast, veggie for lunch, and yogurt for dinner, with a fruit or veggie too if she's hungry.
Timeline:
6:30am bottle 7:30am breakfast 10:30am bottle 11:30am breakfast 2:30pm bottle 5:30om dinner 6:30pm bottle
She is STTN, from about 7:30pm to 6 or 6:30am, plus 2 or three naps.
ETA: The timeline you were actually referring to
5 months: start solids. We go all over the place, fruit, veggie, whatever I feel like giving her that day
6 months: add yogurt once a day
7 months: try puffs. If she likes that, add pastina and tiny finger foods like bananas and avocados.
8-11 months: increase table foods and decrease purees
12 months+: aside from nuts (too hard, choking hazard) my kids can have anything I have

Re: So tell me your timeline(food)
DS is 7 months old and we have started to introduce table foods. However, we started him on solids at 4 months and DS was completely ready for them at that time. He has never had any gag issues, allergies, etc. He never pushed the food out and always "chews". He also is a BIG boy! But every baby is completely different and I think that if he wasn't ready for solids at 4 months and we had waited, I don't think he would have been ready for table foods now.

Thanks!! What kind of yogurt do you give DD?
