So we told my family this weekend...
Just got back from maryland. We told my parents and siblings (they would have figured it out, and one sister already knew) about the BFP.
Me: We're having a baby!
Mom: Who's having a baby?!
Dad: [pats me on the back] I'm so proud of you.
gee, thanks dad! so awkward LOL!

lol it was just soooo typical. my mom is just a crazy scatterbrain type person. i surprised her by showing up IN ITALY when my entire family (except me) was on a month long vacation celebrating my parents 65th birthdays. I literally planned and flew to Rome with her having no idea. Then, when my flight came in, my dad was like "oh i want to go to the store to get something," left for like 2 HOURS, returns with ME, and i walk in and she's like "oh, hey elizabeth."
5 minutes later she starts freaking out and saying ridiculous things like "how did you get here??"
I walked mom. I walked.
My dad on the other hand, his reaction to the bfp was like I had just graduated college or something, or won a big case.
