So what exactly is this board for?
Am I the only one wondering this? Is this why there are so few new posts on this board?
I just don't see what I'm suppose to post here (as a childless person) that I can't post in FHF.
Anyone want to offer some insight?

well thats what it has turned into.
it was SUPPOSED to be a place where Childless can bond...talk about issues that we think are important but everytime anyone brings anything up, it turns into drama because god forbid we have an opinion about anything...
There are some childless people that do not like children but dont ever post that on here....

I dont know either, but Lisa hit the nail on the head - its really meant for people who have CF lifestyles and wish to discuss and bond with other LIF'ers over those CF lifestyles and issues.
However I have had 3 threads from THIS (CF) board pulled because of absoultely petty BS drama  or have had people outright call me a kid hater and nasty names. Yea, I dont like kids but guess what - so do a ton of other people - they just decide to keep their mouths shut because of the "kid police" on LIF. That doesn't necessarily make me a bad person, I just don't wish to have my experience of enjoyment of life/property/restaurants, etc completely ruined because of little kids running amok.
Also, this board does have the word "Families" in it - I really dont care what most people here think but when I hear the word "family" it connotes "man, woman and child/children". The LIF police would think that 'family' connotes a man/wife but honestly, when I am at a BBQ and anyone says "oh there is the Smith family coming over", in my mind I have a mental picture of a couple *with* kids..
So if you notice, the reason CF seems to be a dead board is the overwhelming majority of posters here DO happen to women who are TTC-ing (TTC), tried to TTC and failed or unable to TTC, (infertility), are pregnant (Pregnancy/My Birth Story/Multiple Births), or have kids already (Parenting). So the CF community is tiny, at least on LIF anyway.

So it started with excellent intentions.
I don't post on here because I don't want to deal with the fall out from it.
It's not worth posting anything to have people I don't know freak out about it. And I don't even think that what I have to say will piss people off but there are some people that post on this board that get off on pissing off the parents. They feed into it and everything gets blown to shitt. It's not right but that's how it goes.
I'm surprised that this board still exists considering how many adults sound like fn children when they come on this board.

Exactly, another aspect that I noticed is how parents come onto this board post their 2 cents.
I have yet to EVER go onto the Parenting or a Pregnancy/Birth board and post my 2 cents about anything - I know its not my place and that I am clearly the minority in this particular demographic. So why do parents feel the need to come here and post their opinions when certain threads specifically ask for input from OTHER CF folks? If I wanted input from everyone, I would post on FHF. That just kinda made me

Having a little tact goes a long way - and that goes for people on both sides.

But I think that having a little tact applies for ANY and ALL chat boards (except celebs - we can say whatever we want about them )
Sure parents can bypass this board. But they don't. So rather than give them something to bitchh about, make it so that they feel like they have nothing to say. Or ignore them. That's it.
You can't have a fight by yourself if no one responds to you, right?
It doesn't have to be that deep. In the end, it's a chat board.

Ok, so what kind of topics? What issues.
I'm asking only because I can't think of anything to talk about that would specifically pertain to CF.
Like if I were looking for an adults only vacation spot, I'd go to the travel board, not here or if I were looking for a fancy restaurant that most likely have children there I'm pretty sure I'd ask that question on the Dining in and out board.
Am I wrong for presuming this?

I don't think this forum was meant to be topic specific so much as a place for people without children to congregate and talk amoungst ourselves...kind of like the newlywed forum. I don't really go there too much but any time I read the topics, they can all go someplace else on LIF but they wanted a smaller forum to discuss things with other people at the same stage in their life.

maybe im wrong but as much as i use this board to rub it in the faces of parents that i do not have the burden of children... i think the intention was to also have a place for those who CAN NOT have kids to discuss...? i dunno? stuff?

Ok, I kinda get this.
And not to sound mean but I always thought the Newlyweds Board was more of a LIF with training wheels session. Like be nice to the beebees until they get their big girl pants on and can swim with the big kids in the deep end of the pool.
Whereas most of the posters here aren't really very new so they're used to the snarky behavior that goes on.
However, I could be wrong.

I always thought that was, in part, what the IF board was for. Though, again, I could be severely mistaken.

I think that's part of the reason for the NW board also. But I think there was some chatter about "we planned our weddings together...yada yada yada".
I could be totally wrong here...the IF forum is for people still trying to get pg. But a forum like this could be for the people that cannot get pg to chat without discouraging people still trying and also away from the IF arena and not have to weed through posts regarding kids.
