I don't even know anymore.
If this forum could have led to new friendships...more power to it. But it got off on the wrong foot and never really took off b/c of bad feelings and what have you.
I remember a few years ago having friends that were about the same age, with similar interests, who did not have children - it was easy-ish to plan dinners, drinks, that sort of thing.
At the same time, there were a couple of other people with kids that just didn't have the same freedom to go out, to the point of not even really seeing them for months at a time.

I think the first GTG we started with 12-15 people and by the time we were standing there it was down to 3 of us.
Didn't matter to me, it was good company. 
Edited, I just realized I did not answer the question.
I agree that this board was a good idea - but it's been shown that we can't talk freely amongst ourselves without judgement or the need for folks who don't lead a CF or CL lifestyle to defend themselves.

I don't think this forum was meant to be topic specific so much as a place for people without children to congregate and talk amoungst ourselves...kind of like the newlywed forum. I don't really go there too much but any time I read the topics, they can all go someplace else on LIF but they wanted a smaller forum to discuss things with other people at the same stage in their life.
Ok, I kinda get this.
And not to sound mean but I always thought the Newlyweds Board was more of a LIF with training wheels session. Like be nice to the beebees until they get their big girl pants on and can swim with the big kids in the deep end of the pool.
Whereas most of the posters here aren't really very new so they're used to the snarky behavior that goes on. 
However, I could be wrong.

maybe im wrong but as much as i use this board to rub it in the faces of parents that i do not have the burden of children... i think the intention was to also have a place for those who CAN NOT have kids to discuss...? i dunno? stuff?
I always thought that was, in part, what the IF board was for. Though, again, I could be severely mistaken.
There's an important difference. The IF board is a place to talk about going through IF -- the stress, the treatments, the cost, the drs, the protocols. IF can easily become all-consuming. I think of this board in some ways as a post-IF place -- getting on with living the life I have.

I really like this board. I always took it as a place to congregate with others who I have more in common with. People with children tend to have the mentality that their lives revolve around their children (which is fine, not judging) and sometimes I want to post and not get a response like:
Post: any great restaurants?
Reply: sure, we went to mcdonalds or Dave and Busters because they have great kids meals!
Post: what should I go see at the movies?
Reply: Movies? What's that? I have no time to myself unless it's to see Hannah Montana!
Post: I had the best night sitting on the sofa with DH and drinking wine last night!
Reply: OH just WAIT til you have kids, that will all END!!!!
Typically, it's to avoid a lot of responses or topics that make me do an eye roll. Sometimes I just honestly have no interest in what other people's kids are doing or that lifestyle. It's like having a night out with the girls and banning all "kid talk." NOT that there's anything wrong with it but for me, right now, I enjoy it.
I think this board is so dead because as soon as someone makes a statement like the one above, they get flamed. If I get flamed, so be it. I'm not a bitter person who doesn't want to have kids, I just don't have my own right now and sometimes want to be around other people in the same frame of mind. Once you have kids, your whole outlook on life changes. Maybe mine will one day too but until then..........

I went to the relationship board gtg. I tried to gtg with CarolAnn but it was rained out. If we can start anew for a gtg I will be there. Lets call it our own drama for childless families. My drama is I want drinks and food so I can rub my belly later.

And this answered my question how? I find the description, as posted in the link you provided to be RIDICULOUSLY vague and really, well, your response DOESN'T really answer my question.
In case you missed it...I asked what kind of topics are we supposed to talk about here. I find that what I have to say I feel could be posted on the FHF or the Dining in and out board, etc.
Oh well. I guess you don't know what this board is for either.
And to respond to Andrew and Carolann...
I honestly have NO desire to make fun of other people's kids.
For that matter, I have no desire to make fun of people for having kids.
Why would I waste my time doing that? Not to mention it's not like I hate kids or something, I just don't have any.
Big Freakin' Deal.
Anyhooters...I'm guessing by the lack of posting (and lets face it there really are FEW posts here) I'm not the only one who has no idea what the hell I'm supposed to be doing here.

THIS is exactly why I asked for this forum to be created. As I was embarking on a new chapter of my life I thought this would help me find a group of people, possibly new friends, to help make the transition easier. Most of my friends have kids, and they are always busy with play dates, school functions, mommy gtg's etc, and let's be real, when we do gtg a lot of the talk is about this as well. I just have to sit there with a smile plastered on my face. I thought a board like this would help me feel as if I was not alone...

I frequent other CF boards and this board is really underused. After watching it for awhile, I realized you are all walking on eggshells.
It is hard when it is co-existing right next to Parenting, Pregnancy, My Birth Story!, TTC, TTC and Preg after Miscarriage, Infertility, Parenting of School-aged children, Parenting of Special needs, Adoption, Multiple Births, Step-parents. There's a lot of cross over traffic. Most other CF boards are just strictly CF. Parents generally don't crash them.
And most other CF boards members are adults who are remaining CF for life (either by choice or circumstances), it's their lifestyle. They are not "CF til' I get pregnant".

They supposedly did, in the post that's pinned to the top of this board. It's titled "Please Read Before Posting." Here's the link: Link however I find it VERY vague and TOTALLY USELESS.
To be frank, I don't think THEY truly know what this board is for.
