Re: So What is Everyone's Weekend Projects?

- We have an electrician coming tomorrow to install hi-hats, replace outlets/wiring & run wiring for the TV in the LR...also installing ceiling boxes for overhead lighting in the 3 BRs. Yay!!!

- Moving the old sofa to storage and moving the new one in.

- Getting paint for the LR (yay!!!)

- Picking out an entry door and setting up appts to have it installed (along with the LR window - yay!!!).

Should be a very productive weekend...

WOW, sounds like you have a lot going on. That is great. I love productive weekends.

So which electrician are you using? I need some quotes. TIA!

We are using someone we work with...not sure how referrals work with them - I will find out tomorrow for you though.

Yes - it's been a slow go on the project - everything happening in bursts. This will be the first weekend (in a while) where we'll see a lot of progress. Next up will be insulating and sheetrock.

Re: So What is Everyone's Weekend Projects?

we have a few projects that are in the works, hopefully we'll complete at least one. We are both working Saturday morning & we have a BBQ to go to after work so we'll really only have tonight & Sunday.
We have to paint the door for the new pantry DH built & then fill it up!
Do the second coat of Poly on the new wood floors we installed in our guest room
Finish building & painting the built-ins DH is making for my office/craft room

Tiling the bathroom floor. Had to cut a few more tiles, then I laid them on Sunday. Need to wait for the mastic to dry so I can grout them. Unfortunately, we have to use the other bathroom in the middle of the night, not the one next to our bedroom.... Chat Icon

DH trimmed some of our bushes that

I filled our new buffet with our good china
and stemware.

Re: So What is Everyone's Weekend Projects?

-Hung up pictures in the living room
-Hung up curtains in the office
-Tried to hang shelves in the living room (the ones that look like crown moulding - didn't go so well)
-Fixed the washing machine (it wasn't draining water and it was flooding all over the floor)
-Cleaned the entire house

On Sunday DH looked around and said it's finally starting to look like a home Chat Icon
