Soft Carriers for Older Baby?
Hi all, DD is almost 9 months old and 17 pounds.. We have a Baby Bjorn and she likes it but she's starting to get heavy in it for me (strain on my neck) ...I was considering some sort of hip carrier? Any suggestions? How do the Hotslings work out for hip carry?
TIA!

Re: Soft Carriers for Older Baby?
I have both the Peanut Shell Sling and the Maya Wrap Sling. DS isn't old enough for the hip carry yet, but I know that both of these slings can be used for that carry.
Here are the sites.

I am not a mommy yet(29 days to go) but I was given the Hip Hammock from BRU...I believe it is made by Playtex. It looks pretty comfortable.

I'm a huge fan of the Ergo baby carrier. You can carry your toddler piggy back in that and it will grow with your baby more so than other carriers I looked at.

I liked the hotsling when there was going to be alot of up and down. For longer excursions I always used my Sachi or Kozy Mei Tai (similar to the ergo but you tie the straps instead of buckles, I found it easier to get comfy.)

Re: Soft Carriers for Older Baby?
Thanks, thinking of trying the hotsling...we're taking a plane trip together without DH, there's a connection and I just feel like it would be good to have the carrier in addition to the stroller.
The Ergo looks a bit bulky, is it in person?
