some birthday party questions....
we are doing a party at saf-t-swim...so it will be a pool/beach theme.
Would you do ice pops? im thinking sugar free.
Also i saw they have Capri sun flavored water do you think i should buy that or regular juice? they come in the juice box.
One last thing...how far in advance would you send the invites? its valentines day weekend
eta: do you have any suggestions of some cute foods/desserts for a pool/beach theme party for a 2 yr old party?

Re: some birthday party questions....
I'm not a big icepop fan with the younger kids. Too messy/sticky for a party. But that's if I was planning it. If I was attending, I'd just have my wipes ready.
I'd opt for the least sugary drink. In terms of juice boxes, I think the big container & cups waste less juice & cost less but are more prone to spills.

i was going to do cups but ill have some 2 yr olds so i figured that it would be easier for the younger ones. Maybe ill get boxes for the young ones and just the big containers for the older?

I'm not a fan of the ice pops, but if you are going to do them, I would not do sugar free as there are artifical (i.e. splenda) in sugar free ice pops.

Re: some birthday party questions....
I agree do not do sugar free. They contain artificial sweetener. They have the no sugar added ones that are made from juice, and only contain natural sugar from fruit.

Re: some birthday party questions....
What about those ice pops in the plastic sleeves? I forget what they're called, but they keep all of the juice inside of them and the kids can feed themselves. Less mess than the pops. And I'd do juice boxes for the juice....Lily's just mastered the cup at 2.5 and there are still accidents.

Re: some birthday party questions....
I wouldnt do sugar-free icepops just because of the artificial sweetners. I think minute maid has ices in a sleeve sort of thing that the kids can push up from the bottom.
As for the invites. I think 4 weeks in advance should be good.
oh.. and I think juice boxes
