Some honest advice please...
I am just beginning my journey here and had my first RE appt with Dr. Brenner on Friday 2/20. He ran some BW for my hormone levels and also some gentics (cystic fibrosis, fragile x, etc.). Dr. Brenner called me the next Monday to let me know about my hormone levels but said the genetic results take a few days. I called today because I still haven't heard and the receptionist told me that my results are in but Dr. Brenner is not in today and only he can give me the results. Now I am concerned that only Dr. Brenner will talk to me because something came back abnormal. Gentic issues were the last thing on my mind and now I am really worred. Is it standard for the dr to call withsuch results or is it only when something is wrong?

Re: Some honest advice please...
When I had genetic testing done my RE actually had DH and I go in for an appointment to discuss the results... There was nothing wrong he just wanted to discuss everything thoroughly and explain in more details so that we knew what each thing actually meant... Don't really know why they had us do that but I am guessing that that was standard procedure with my RE at NSUH. HTH!! GL to you!!

This is standard at LI IVF. Don't assume the worst.
