Some moms lose sleep because of their kids...
this mom gets woken up by her damn friggin cats  I swear, I've freaking had it. 4:30 this morning they woke me up scratching on the freaking bedroom door, I opened it so they could come in and sleep with us, and they proceeded to walk all over my head and plop down on my pillow. So now, I couldn't fall asleep last night and have been up since 4:30 this morning. ARGH!!! I'm ready to get rid of these damn cats. Every, single morning they wake me up way before I'm due to be up. I'm so done. I'm locking their @sses in the basement tonight.

Ugh I know what you mean. Fred does the same sh*t and I cant stand it. Then we let him in bed and he is forever "getting hot or cold" and crawling in and out of the covers.

Sorry to crash- it's 6am and the boards are slow, as you can imagine at this hour...
I have cats and I HATE when this happens!!!!!! I have had several times where I didn't need to be up until a specific time to go to work but because of one of them, I was up like an hour and ha half early!  I can't stay mad at them though  
Sorry they got you up so early, that stinks!!

And this is why I put up a baby gate at the hall entrance to the bedrooms . Pets sleep in the living room and Mommy gets a good night's rest in her bedroom

I hear ya!
Lilly sleeps in the bed with us  and has to go out to do #1 at least once a night. Even before the baby was born, we weren't getting a full night's sleep.
Damn dog - it's a good thing she's ridiculously adorable.

My cats are bugging me too! One of them sleeps with us all night. She will not move, even if she's between our legs. And she's constantly trying to cough up hairballs.
Then our fat cat Samson is on and off the bed all night. He's a bed hog, and he SNORES!
They are almost on their way to being locked out of our bedroom again. We just moved, so we were giving them a grace period....but their time is about up!

I'm with you too Rachel! We have one cat that loves to sleep on my butt (yes it's nice and soft there ) It's so annoying because I can't move. She snores too! OH and at 5am every morning she runs around the house screaming and chasing something nobody can see. My DH is so close to leaving her on someone's doorstep!!

This is why my cats learned a long time ago they sleep downstairs, not in our bedroom.
And the dog sleeps in his crate downstairs.

we did the same thing!
Bedrooms off limits now. we close our doors at night so we cant hear them at 4 AM

Yea we put our cats down in the basement at night. It's a finished basement and that's where their litter box is so they can run around like maniacs and they don't disturb us.
And our dog gets gated off in the kitchen so she doesn't come into our rooms at night too.

I wish we had basement for them!!!
It's not so much usually in the middle of the night - it's in the morning when I would so love to sleep in (DS would totally let us do this sometimes) but the damn cats want to be fed and when I don't get up, they either chase each other ending with one under the bed and the other batting at her, or they scratch carpet, sofa, whatever they can to make me get up.

We gave our cat a bed right outside our bedroom door at the top of our stairs. She loves it and doesn't even TRY to sleep with us (which sometimes I wouldn't mind - lol)!
