Some questions about PCOS
Hi ladies, I usually post on TTC, but lurk here occasionally. Dh and I have been TTC for 8 months, which I know is still not very long, but I'm starting to feel something might be wrong. Dh is going to go to go for an SA. I had a CD3 test done which came back normal. What exactly does the CD 3 test check for? I know my gyno told me, but I can't remember what the test was for. Also, I was lurking and saw the posts regarding PCOS today and had a few questions. I have regular cycles (every 29/30 days) does that mean I am ovulating every month. I have had positive opk's, but not consistently (however, I am not the best at reading the two lines). I have always had an issue with unwanted hair growth(have had laser hair removal ) and acne. My weight is average, but high average. I saw that someone also mentioned the south beach diet as a good diet to follow. South Beach was the only diet I have ever had success with and decreased my afternoon low blood sugar moments. I just started to chart my temperature and am hoping that will clue me in to the question of ovulation. I am sorry this is so long. I hope I don't sound crazy. I guess I am trying to play fertility detective. THank you.

Re: Some questions about PCOS
Regular cycles does not necessarily mean you are ovulating. Have you thought about going to a dr? It couldn't hurt.

Re: Some questions about PCOS
Hi !...I have "mild" PCOS and from what I was told your AF can be annovulatory...Not sure if you have consulted with an RE, but it might be a good idea if you have a gut feeling something isnt right...It does sound like you are getting many of the preliminary testing done so that will be helpful if you do decide to speak with an RE...Unfortunately, many Gyns. treat patients without the expertise behind them (I know that this is what happened to me )...Good Luck !!!!
