Some TMI Hospital questions...
So at my last Child Birth class the nurse said that after we deliver and get cleaned up to put on underwear and they'll also pack us with ice. I didn't even think about getting some cheap underwear or anything. I figured whatever I wear is definitly going to be tossed. Yuck! Anyway... figured some cheap boyshort panties would be good. What do you think? I gotta start putting my bag together soon... in the next week or so.

They pack you with ice - it's an icepack that looks like a huge sanitary napkin!
I bought large granny panties with me with the intention of throwing them out, but I never even unpacked them. I just used the disposible underware the hospital provided. They were super comfortable and I didn't have to worry about runining anything. I took a ton of them home with me too!

Re: Some TMI Hospital questions...
Thanks! I'll buy some cheap ones, but if I don't wear them b/c I wear the hospitals that's fine too. What did you wear after the baby? Did you bring your own PJ's?

Re: Some TMI Hospital questions...
I did bring my own pj's. The first day I wore the hospital gown (DD was born at 2pm). When I was able to shower the next morning, I put my own pj bottoms and a nursing tank on with a hoodie. I way overpacked (I packed for a c-section in case I was there for 4 days, but I had a vag birth). I was bleeding alot, but I never bled through anything.
Just remember, in case you have a c/s, you want something comfortable to wear that's not going to irritate your incision.

i dunno about you, but boy shorts seems like it would get very uncomfy when it's packed with ice and huge pads. i'm just gonna use my giant bikinis i had to buy because after i'm done being preggo, these are being BURNED haha

Re: Some TMI Hospital questions...
I wore the disposable hospital underwear. I even brought some pairs home and wore them for another day or two after.
I wore a nursing tank top and scrub pants that the nurse gave me. At home I wore nursing tank tops and pj pants.

Good point, but I do like the bikini boy short type underwear when I workout b/c they stay on good and don't ride up. Although I can't imagine anything riding up with the ice.

I was just going to say the same thing. I had an episiotomy and they never packed me with ice. I wore my own undies, just older ones that I figured I would throw away.

Re: Some TMI Hospital questions...
I hated the hospital underwear.....i had my own granny panties that I wore the first few days. My sister actually went out and bought me more after the 1st day. I bled A LOT, the nurse said it was more than normal (just my luck!!) I loved having the cheap granny panties cause I just threw them out after.

Re: Some TMI Hospital questions...
ugh - I wore the disposable hospital ones the first day or so. I had a c-section so I wasn't packed with ice.
I got underwear from Motherhood Maternity. They were perfect for the hospital.

Really? I was never packed with ice either birth. I never had any problems with being super uncomfortable either with the tearing and episotimy.

Re: Some TMI Hospital questions...
I had a CS & bought the mesh undies which I LOVED. I obviously wore them & then tossed them but they were comfortable & flexible & worked fine w/ the mega pad they gave you to wear.
I too wore yoga pants & nursing tops, except for my 2nd day there when I had a nightgown on (& to me it was uncomfortable & hard to get up in w/ guests there w/o flashing people).

Re: Some TMI Hospital questions...
The hospital provided disposable undies which served the purpose. I would suggest some big 'ol panties though just in case.
