someones leaving us garden gnomes..
so for the past three days, someone has been placing garden gnomes in our front yard..they're all cracked, but the gnomes are strategically placed in front of bushes, etc.
we've thrown them out, new ones appear the following day
has this happened to anyone?
i feel like im in gnomeo and juliet with living gnomes, and it's freaking me out!!!

omg thats awesome, lol. I'm sorry  I did the same thing to my husband, he hates them. I did it a long time ago and forgot.
I would def say kids. I only had one gnome not multiples. lol

lol we talked about doing something like this!
it's just so bizarre to me! the only part that kinda freaks me out is that they're coming so close to our house..
let's see if any appear tomorrow!!

Maybe it's a friend playing a joke on you. My dad has a bunch of gnomes in his yard and one year my sister and I "kidnapped them" lol

That would freak me out especially because like you said they are coming so close to the house and spending time placing the thing everyday. I don't like that.

we thought about this, but it's so random! and i would say only about 10 of our friends know where we live
plus, yesterday it obviously happened while i was home, bc i was home ALL day
and idk if the neighbors would do anything like this yet, bc we've only lived here 4 months 
it's a conundrum!

I think it's the neighbors way of saying "welcome to the neighborhood"....sounds innocent enough.
I agree with a pp to place them in all funny positions.

My sister and I do this to each other. It's a long story how it began. We can wait months or years so that the next attack is a surprise. Maybe someone got the wrong house?

I am pretty sure it is a "thing" people do similar to like tha Halloween thing where you "boo" people. I saw it on our town's police blotter where a lady was all freaked out and tuners out it is like a " chain" thing done by neighbors and then you,in turn, Do it to others.

this is too funny!
It reminds me of the Gnome that was stolen off of someone's lawn! The thief traveled all around the world and took a photo in each location, and sent it to the owner. They may have even returned the Gnome after they were done!
I think this is where Travelocity got their mascot.
