looks great but kate hudson is totally wrong for the part. she can probably do the personality right but in the book darcy is tall with olive skin and long, dark, straight hair... total opposite of kate hudson

I definitely thought that at first, but the more I look at her as Darcy and think of it....I think physically it's not as important but the personality will shine through.
A lot of fans weren't happy about Ginnifer Goodwin cast as Rachel, because in the book she is described as so much more plain & homely....and Goodwin is anything but that!
Looks like they took Ethan and made him a NY character instead of him being in London.

I met Emily Giffin at the Book Revue. She was talking about the movie.
The movie is fairly true to the book according to her.
Some changes they made were that they to make Ethan based out of NY, but he'll be moving to England in time for Something Borrowed.
Darcy's friend (Hilary?) is not in the movie. Her character kind of morphed with Ethan's
