Something scary happened to me during a root canal yesterday...(do not move to health please!)
The endodontist told me not to worry and all is ok now, but I couldn't close my right eye AT ALL.
He was working on the tooth and I wanted to close my eyes (hate seeing what is happening) and I realized I couldn't close my eye.
He said he must have hit the nerve that controls the eyelid...it was like that for 3 hours!!!! I walked around winking at people every time I thought I was blinking, lol..
DH thought it was very very funny but boy did it scare me! I did NOT know this could happen. Anyone else??

That's terrifying! Did you go to your doctor or the hospital to get checked out after that happened?
I'm glad it seems to be back to normal.

UGH, I can TOTALLY feel your pain b/c it happened to me once!! It's the strangest feeling, and very annoying!! I have had soooooo much dental work done, and it's only happened once to me.
It does go away, just like the numbness in your mouth. My dentist said it was nothing to be concerned about.

Wow...I have had a lot of dental work done and never had anything like that. However, my last root canal for some reason the novacaine bruised the entire left side of my face. People thought i got punched in the face.
