Something special for DH? (not exactly pregnancy related, but it sorta is)

So I am 12 weeks now and things have been tough. Typical stuff, but its just been a very rough time.

DH has been working himself to the bone while allowing me to take care of myself. He hasn't had any type of break and is really going out of his mind with all the work and slack he has picked up. His work hours have been very late. I often wake him up in the middle of the night with my aches, pains, and fears. While I slept last night, he did housework. And his patience has been unbelievable.

I would really like to do something special for him, really different, but I don't know what. My cooking isn't exactly "special" and we don't have a lot of money right now. He really doesn't have any hobbies, so I don't really have any great ideas.

Any suggestions?

TIA

He probably wants to relax and stay home since he has been working a lot.

How about ordering take out from one of your favorite restaurants and renting a movie. If he is a drinker, add a six pack.

Or

Going to Uncle Giussepes or Iavaronne (italian super markets), they have prepared meals ready to go.

Or

Try making easy appetizers: example: Chips/Queso, Guacomole, quesadillas, artichoke dips, wings, etc. and don't forget the dessert!

LIF -Food and Recipes board , have a ton of appetizer recipes.

i definitely agree with the -

get his fave pizza or takeout....

get 3 of his favorite movies and popcorn - do a night on the couch and endulge him....give him a massage, wait on him...

the little things like that will matter a lot!

Tickets to a basketball or football game? I know my DH would appreciate some time out of the house. Chat Icon

How about writing him a nice letter...just expressing how grateful you are and what a wonderful help he has been. I'm sure just knowing how you appreciate him will make him feel good.
