I was going to write the same. I saw one set up in a model home and loved the round crib.

I was just thinking of that this morning too. i was thinking of what Nicole Richie, Christina Agularia's and all the celebrity nurseries look like. Not that I wish I had them but I am so curious to what they choose. If money wasn't an option I totally would go crazy in my baby's room. I'd have like a $1,000 bed setting and a $2,000 iron round crib.
I am not amaterialistic person at all but those upscale pricey nurseries are breath taking to me. so yeah if I had the money I would go for it.

Ok back to your question......someone has to be buying these cribs. Maybe consumer reports has some more info.

Some one i know said they have one and they love it. Not sure about safety, but it must be okay if they are still selling them.

As long as the slats are the recommended length apart, I don't see why they would be any less safe than a regular crib.

I think they are pretty cool looking.

They are indeed beautiful - but if you are putting it next to a wall, it kinda defeats the purpose imho. If you have a huge room for the baby and room to walk around the crib - sure. Also the sheets cost a lot of $$$.

I looked into them, but was afraid my DC would outgrow it too quickly. I believe the diameter is a number of inches shorter than a standard crib's length.

I always wonder if they are space saving. I mean it looks like they would be. We have a small.. I mean really really really tiny house with only one bedroom. We don't plan on moving for a year after we have a baby so we will be short on space. I wonder if they would help with space or not? I also love the double round cribs for twinsChat Icon
