Sorry to crash, but could I be leaking amniotic fluid?
I am 34 weeks, with a baby measuring nearly 38 weeks. I am sitting at work and I just got a bit of a gush that soaked through my underwear and pants. I can't smell it because I'm all stuffy. I just had an internal yesterday and my cervix was shut. Also, my tests came back negative for going into labor.
If this is the only gush, should I be concerned? Can CM gush? I really don't want to go to the hospital for no reason.

If your leaking amniotic fluid you should call your ob/gyn.They may need to see you.

Kelly, that happened to me, I had an initial gush & then laid down for 10 min. & they said if its amniotic fluid there should be more leakage...if you can, lie down. I believe it would continue to happen if it was amniotic fluid.
To be on the safe side call your dr.

You really should call your Ob/Gyn. Or at least go to L&D and let them check you out.

It could be from your internal but it's not worth discovering your water broke and you're low on fluid.
I would call the doctor.

You said it keeps coming out, then it sounds like your water broke.
Good luck!

Re: Sorry to crash, but could I be leaking amniotic fluid?
Well, it didn't break. But they found other things out because of this, so I was lucky!! They did a sono and realized that I have copious amounts of amniotic fluid. I have been put on a modified bedrest. Thanks for your advice!!!

I was on modified bed rest for the opposite problem. Make sure you take advantage of the time to rest. DC will be here before you know it!
