Sorry to crash...can someone answer this question for me?
This is a cross-post from the NFR board, but I have an honest question about this situation. It's toward the bottom of the page of responses.
I'm hoping someone can give me a scientific answer to this--I figure you guys are the authority.
ETA: Sorry...I guess the link would help! X-post from NFR

One embryo split creating identical twins. They are still considered triplets since all 3 babies shared the womb. A singleton is just that, one baby in the womb.

Re: Sorry to crash...can someone answer this question for me?
Im going to make an assumption and say that they only implanted 2 embryos during the IVF.
One of the embryos split resulting in "identical twins"...
Essentially they are triplets only 2 of them are identical.
ETA: My daughters go to school with a set of triplets who are a set of identical girls and a boy.
