Sorry..aother e-reader question if you have an ipad...
I have an ipad, and don't want to waste $$ but thinking of getting a nook -- the ipad is heavy after a while, if you are reading a book for an hour or so, and not so easy to throw in my pocket book.
Is it silly to get one, when the ipad does the same thing? Does anyone have both and not use ipad for an e-reader?

I have both. I use the nook for commuting and to read in general. I use the iPad when I am just doing computer/webstuff at home. I received both as gifts which is why I have them but I wouldn't buy a nook to use in addition to the iPad. If I go away, I would just bring the iPad since it does more.

I have the nook and the iPad... I plan on giving the nook to my mom and I'm using the nook and kindle apps on my iPad... The weight doesn't bother me and I use a big bag foe work anyway....

I have both, and I would never give up my Kindle for reading books. The ipad is just too heavy, and the screen on the Kindle is much better on the eyes if you are reading for a long period of time.

I have both, the original nook and a iPad. I still use both. I use the iPad as a mini computer for browsing websites, playing games etc. I as do read some magazines on the iPad. I use my nook when I am reading novels. Like you said I find that the iPad gets very heavy and uncomfortable to hold. I as think the nook screen is easier on your eyes when you are reading for a long period of time.

My ipad is coming this week. I don't pay for books, so the nook is for me, but I just heard about an app that converts ADE books to work on your ipad. I travel alot and I don't always want to carry my ipad with me.
