Sort of a spinoff to leaving your DC's bedroom door open: Nightlights
Do you have a night light in your DC's room? I have one but dont turn it on. I used to when she was a newborn, but started turning it off.

Michael always has a nightlight on. I remember always having one as a kid. I was a scaredy cat - so I'd feel bad if Michael wakes up in the mid of the night and the room is too dark. So we keep it on. It's very dim, but it helps.

We have one, but never use it - back when they were newborns we used it so that we could see in there in the middle of the night for diaper changes - but now we never use it.

We have a flat light cell that emits a very dim light. We have one in her room and in the bathroom so we don't have to turn lights on in the middle of the night.

Yes, we have one in the baby's room and in the bathroom. I guess she has one in her room because of my own insecurity. I wouldn't want to sleep in a completely dark room.

No, we never used one. I used to leave a lamp on in the hallway for night feedings & changings.

Yes, we have one in there. DD's room has darkening shades so her room would be pitch black if we didn't have it in there.

Both kids have them. I forgot to put Christopher's on once and he woke up TERRIFIED.

yes, we have a nightlight in their room and in the bathroom next to their room, so there is enough light.

I use a night light in my DD room, although a few times when we were traveling we had no light and she was fine so I'm not sure she needs it. I bought one that is part of the switch plate, and scews in, plus the other hole has the guards, so I don't have to worry about her pulling it out.
