Re: Do you leave your DC's bedroom door....
Depends on the day.
Lately it has been closed - since she has been so cranky lately - she has been a light sleeper.
But if the house is hot - then open cause we have the AC in our room and we have fan in the hallway that blows the cool air into her room

I will be closing his door when he goes into his crib. I have a cat and am nervous she may jump into his crib.

Re: Do you leave your DC's bedroom door....
I leave it open a crack until they fall asleep (they are each in their own room), and once they are asleep and I am headed to bed, I check on them and close thier door for the night. The doors make a lot of noise, so I try not to open and close them too much.

Open. Always open.
There are times when they need to run to the bathroom or into our room (nightmares). The last thing I want to worry about is them trying to get the door handle.

Re: Do you leave your DC's bedroom door....
He insists that it be left open a few inches when I leave the room, but I close it when I go to bed. I don't want DH to have to worry about waking him up in the morning when he's getting ready (his room is right next to the bathroom).

Re: Do you leave your DC's bedroom door....
For now, open.
When he starts sleeping through the night, closed.
It's safer for them closed. In case there is a fire the door serves as a barrier for smoke and heat.
Most fire department recommend it.
