Speaking of emotional, I could use some advice and strategies

on how to deal with stress at work.

This is my busy time at work and for the most part the initiative I am cooridinating is going really well, but when I get stressed I tend to overeact, even though I know I am right.

My question is how are you dealing with your reactions to a stressful situation. I don't want to make things worse.

Does anyone know what I mean?

Im not sure my advice will help, but my job is very stressful---emotionally and sometimes physically---I have just decided since I was pregnant that I will let things role off me a little more, I decided my baby is more important and don't want my baby to feel all my stress. I still get stressed and upset, but not as much--and when I do, I try to step away from the situation for a minute and just calm down. Chat Icon

Chat Icon I think you need to take more small breaks--step away from the situation, go outside for some fresh air to calm down...And put everything in perspective. You and your health is more important than any of this!

It's funny, I used to get much more stressed about work before I was pregnant, but ever since the pregnancy, I really don't get stressed much at all. I think my priorities have shifted, and while I want to do a good job, work just isn't as important as it was.

Take breaks, and if others are getting worked up about stuff, try to stay out of it. My boss is a big one for this, and I listen to her a bit, but I don't participate or get myself worked up as well anymore.
